SERVICES
Everything under the platform is ours.
Implementation, migration, integration, training, hosting, updates, support and security. Your institution operates no console and staffs no platform team. One named specialist is answerable for all of it, and writes to you monthly whether or not anything happened.
WHY THIS EXISTS
The platform is somebody’s second job.
In most universities it belongs to people who were hired to do something else, and it competes with that something else in exactly the weeks it can least afford to.
WHAT WE HOLD
Eight responsibilities, one signature.
Implementation
Your programmes, academic calendar and student records mapped onto Edify and Rize in the first weeks, by us.
Migration
Your existing records moved and reconciled against the registry, with every discrepancy documented rather than quietly resolved.
Integration
Single sign-on, the link between Edify and Rize, and the conferencing tools you already run. Ours to maintain and ours to fix.
Training
Your registry staff and faculty taught the system they will actually use, in the term they will start using it.
Hosting
The infrastructure, the backups and the restore that has been tested rather than assumed.
Updates
Upgrades applied on a schedule that avoids your enrolment and examination weeks, because the calendar is the master clock.
Security
Its own section below, for a reason.
Support
A named specialist, not a queue, and a monthly written account of the cycle.
SECURITY
We hold root. That is the point.
Patching, access control, penetration testing and incident response are ours. So is the root password, which is the part that matters: the people who operate your systems are not the people whose results it publishes, and no change to a result passes without a record of who made it and when.
Your registrar can still amend a result, because that is their office and their authority. What changes is that the amendment is on the record.
When something goes wrong, you are told what happened, what we did, and what has changed so that it cannot recur.
WHAT COMES OFF YOUR DESK
The list your IT lead currently carries.
Overnight upgrades. The backup nobody has restored from. The integration that fails silently in week two. The penetration test that is scheduled and then postponed. The resignation in the week before enrolment.
THE LIVE DEMONSTRATION
See what running it actually looks like.
edu.tifaqm.com is a complete university we operate. Sign in as a guest and use it as a registrar would. No form stands in front of it, and no one calls you afterwards.
