CAMPUS LIFE

Where the students actually live.

Hostels by wing, floor and room, with amenities, visitors and wardens. Parking with the vehicles in it. A mess with its own ledger. The parts of a university that are physical and still have to be recorded.

WHY THIS EXISTS

A register in a ledger book.

Who is in which room, who signed a visitor in, which rooms are out of use and why. It is written by hand at a desk, and it is the record somebody asks for on the one night it matters.

WHAT IS IN IT

Everything this office has to stand behind.

Hostels

By type, wing, floor and room, with room types, amenities and the extra facilities a student can be allocated.

Occupancy

Free units at a glance, and blockage reasons for rooms that are out of use.

Applications

Hostel admission handled as an application rather than as a conversation.

Visitors

Recorded with their relation to the student, and the warden on duty.

Parking

Requests, and the vehicles behind them by type, model and colour.

Mess

An account ledger per student.

Assets

Held with the campus they belong to.

THE BOUNDARY

It keeps the register. Your wardens run the hall.

Allocation, discipline and duty of care belong to the people in the building. Rize holds the record they make, in a form that can be produced immediately when somebody needs it.

THE LIVE DEMONSTRATION

Open a real registrar’s office.

Four departments run live at edu.tifaqm.com: admissions, finance, HR and academics. Sign in as a guest and open them as a registrar would. No form stands in front of it, and no one calls you afterwards.
