TEACHING AND EXAMINATIONS
The datesheet, and the result that stands.
Courses, classes, batches and rooms. A datesheet with its timeslots and its clashes found before publication. Examination centres, sittings, scripts, results and attendance. And the affiliated colleges your university examines.
WHY THIS EXISTS
A clash found on the morning.
Two papers, one cohort, one hall. It is discovered by the students, who are already seated, and it is fixed by an examinations office that will spend the rest of the week defending the result.
WHAT IS IN IT
Everything this office has to stand behind.
Academic structure
Courses, classes, batches, rooms, terms, sessions, the academic calendar and its events.
Timetable and datesheet
Built with timeslots, and checked for clashes before anybody sits down.
Examination centres
Centres, their structure, and the assignment of candidates to them.
Sittings and scripts
Exam sittings, and the disposal rules and history that govern what happens to scripts afterwards.
Results
Grades, results and CGPA, recalculated where a result changes.
Attendance
Recorded against the class, and available to the office that has to certify it.
Affiliated colleges
Their programmes, their students, their examinations and their results, held by the university that awards the degree.
THE BOUNDARY
It schedules and records. Your examiners ratify.
No result is final because Rize holds it. It is final because the board that is answerable for it says so, and Rize keeps what they decided, when, and against which candidate.
THE LIVE DEMONSTRATION
Open a real registrar’s office.
Four departments run live at edu.tifaqm.com: admissions, finance, HR and academics. Sign in as a guest and open them as a registrar would. No form stands in front of it, and no one calls you afterwards.
