QUALITY AND ACCREDITATION

The evidence a review asks for, gathered as the term runs.

Course outcomes mapped to programme outcomes, cohort by cohort. Vision and mission held where a review expects to find them. Surveys taken while the students are still here. It accumulates during the year rather than being assembled in the fortnight before a visit.

WHY THIS EXISTS

The fortnight before the visit.

The mapping is rebuilt in spreadsheets from records that were never kept for the purpose, by the people who can least afford two weeks. What the review sees is a reconstruction, and it usually looks like one.

WHAT IS IN IT

Everything this office has to stand behind.

Outcome mapping

Course learning outcomes attached to the assessments students actually sat, and programme outcomes rolling up from them.

Vision and mission

Held per institute, per department and per programme. An accreditation artefact rather than a line on a website.

Surveys

Course satisfaction while the course is running, and graduating surveys at the end, against the same cohorts as everything else.

Assessment records

The evidence behind each mapped outcome, kept with it.

Research publications

Recorded against the faculty who produced them.

Accreditation reporting

The report a review asks for, produced from the record rather than from memory.

ED Prep weights each examination across these outcomes, so the evidence arrives with the paper: See ED Prep

THE BOUNDARY

It gathers the evidence. Your quality office makes the case.

Rize does not judge whether a programme meets a standard. It holds what happened, attached to the cohort it happened to, so that the people who make that case are arguing from a record instead of a reconstruction.

THE LIVE DEMONSTRATION

Open a real registrar’s office.

Four departments run live at edu.tifaqm.com: admissions, finance, HR and academics. Sign in as a guest and open them as a registrar would. No form stands in front of it, and no one calls you afterwards.
